David Library of the American Revolution is partnering with the venerable American Philosophical Society. Located at Fifth and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the partnership results in the  David Center for the Study of the American Revolution This center has much to offer anyone interested in all things “revolutionary.” American Revolutionary.

The David collection is considered priceless. It comprises about 7,000 books and more than 25 linear feet of manuscripts. Particularly interesting for researchers is the collections almost 9,000 reels of microfilm. It captures well-over a million pages of manuscripts from more than 50 archives around the country. The David Collection is an important stop for any scholar of the period.

For early American historians, this partnership brings together two excellent collections.  The Museum of the American Revolution, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and the Library Company of Philadelphia are all located in Philadelphia.
