100 Lots are being auctioned for the benefit of The Manuscript Society. The donor is the son of Julia Sweet Newman (1924-2012) who was the daughter of Forest Sweet, a third-generation dealer of historical documents and manuscripts, selling to museums, private collectors and other dealers. Julia was known in the business to be an expert in her field and continued the business until her early eighties. Forest Sweet was from Michigan and instrumental in the formation of the Manuscript Society. All donation proceeds will go to the various projects undertaken by the Society such as the Scholarship Fund, The Angel Fund and the Annual Fund. So, your bids on this great material will enhance your collections and assist the Manuscript Society to do its good work.
