Under the expert guidance of the Director of the Williams Research Center of the New Orleans Historical Collection and The Manuscript Society’s own — Alfred Lemmon – the Manuscript Society presents an extraordinary opportunity to see the bibliographic and manuscript treasures of Spain as they have seldom been seen. Under Alfred’s expert care, guidance and extraordinary access participants in this tour will have the opportunity to visit palaces, libraries, museums and academies for an intimate look at manuscripts that guided the exploration of the New World and a world empire; peruse painted treasures by Fran Angelico, El Greco, Murillo, Rembrandt, Renoir and others; walk in the gardens of kings and queens and explore the architectural beauty of the Escorial. You will stay in 5-star hotels in Madrid (Palace Hotel, Madrid) and Seville (Hotel Alfonso XIII) and experience the glory of Spanish cuisine.

Only twenty spots are available and the date to register is June 25th. Attached is the entire schedule, tour information, deposit requirements and links to many of the venues. Take a moment and see what an exciting trip this will be. Attendees are still raving about the 2014 Society trip to Paris under Alfred’s expert care. You will not want to miss the very special tour designed with the Manuscript Society in mind. Extraordinary documents, luxurious hotels, breathtaking venues, excellent cuisine and the knowledge of experts to guide your steps. The Bibliographic and Manuscripts Treasures of Spain—like nothing else available! I look forward to hearing from you.
